seiya is a young man from a different planet, who came to earth in search of his lost princess, changing genders from female to male, and sings in a band, so his princess can hear him. he sees usagi once in an airport, and then once again at a tv show filming. seiya believed that usagi was his dear princess, whom he'd been searching for so long. eventually, seiya begins to love usagi, but accepts that usagi will never love him, only mamoru.

seiya is a nice young man, although quite flirtatious and teasing. he even teases usagi with her nickname, "odango atama" (dumpling head). he and haruka (sailoruranus) don't get along, whether transformed or not. in fact, both sailorneptune and uranus distrust the starlights.

when seiya transforms, he becomes female, and fights along with the other two starlights: starhealer and starmaker. she is quite powerful as a senshi, and is the "leader" of the starlights.

*star serious laser!*-- a bright circle of stars forms above her head, and they combine into one, and she shoots it at an enemy.
